Leather & Stones & Wraps...Oh My! - Renee Kelley
In this fun filled class students will be learning how to create leather jewelry which will include designing and creating bracelets, earrings and pendants using leather, pearls and natural stones. We will also concentrate on macrame which was my students favorite in my last few classes! I am working up new designs and will be teaching you how to use macrame in your bracelets as an embellishment. We make a Boho bracelet that wraps your wrist more than once and looks like you are wearing two or three bracelets at a time which you can stamp, macrame or just add charms along with several other planned projects. You will also be doing a stamped leather bracelet and earrings as an introduction to basic leather working, which is also a great project to gain knowledge if you have ever been curious how it's done. FYI Once you learn the macrame knots, you can use these to make plan hangers, etc. I will bring cord for anyone who wants to try one! There will be additional tools, kits and supplies for purchase if you desire. My lab fee covers all materials for planned projects and use of tools and equipment.
